Elena Jarvis Jube
Elena Jarvis Jube is an MFA candidate in Brigham Young University’s Creative Writing program, with a focus on Young Adult novel. A lover of books and mountains since childhood, Elena wrote her first stories and poems at age six, got serious about writing poetry at seventeen, and twenty-something years later, inspired by reading aloud to her five children, wrote her first novel. Her latest manuscript, Rat Prince of Kusa, won Honorable Mention in the 2015 Utah Arts and Museums Original Writing Competition, Young Adult Book division. Elena lives in Provo, Utah, at the foot of the Wasatch mountains, which seem to loom into everything she writes.
