Madeline Rupard is a painter whose work explores the American landscape through themes of transience, memory, and contradiction. Born in the Utah desert and raised in Maryland and Georgia, she earned her BFA in Studio Art from Brigham Young University in 2016 and an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn in 2019. Her paintings juxtapose the suburban with the sublime, the sacred with the mundane, and the ancient with the man-made, evoking a sense of wonder and transient observation.
