Based in St. George, Utah, Margaret Abramshe is a multidisciplinary artist who blends traditional painting with digital tools to create layered, conceptually rich works. Drawing influence from pop art, surrealism, and contemporary portraiture, her practice reflects a deep engagement with personal history, community, and the complexities of identity. Abramshe often incorporates vintage family photos, original drawings, and printmaking into her compositions, embracing mixed media as a way to push beyond the boundaries of any one genre or technique. She holds a BFA from the University of Colorado, a BA in Art Education from Florida International University, and an MFA from the University of Northern Colorado. Her recent solo exhibitions include Merging Lines at the St. George Art Museum (2024) and Layered and Stitched at the Glen Blakely Gallery (2023).
